{ QR Codes and Scanners }

As I mention in my last post I have been working on rebranding myself the last couple of weeks. I have redone everything, including my business card. Since a business card is one of the most common things in our world it can be hard to stick out from the crowd. This was what I wanted to do. Since I was young I never really followed the social norm, I was always trying to follow my own path. So it was no surprise that when it comes to my business card I wanted to be unique and having something more than just my name, phone number, email and so on. Since I have also always been good with technology I did some research on what is trending in the digital design form. Something that has been around for years now is QR codes. QR codes are similar to bar codes in the sense that they are scanned to get the information. This was something that I found very interesting, with some more research I found that you can create a QR code for just about anything, websites, digital business cards, and so much more. I knew QR codes were just what I was looking for. The next step would be what website to share with my future employers. I ended up picking my Behance page {I'll talk about Behance next week}. And just like that I had a way to make myself stick out in a crowd, the only down fall was that I didn't have a QR code scanner or a QR code generator. With a simple Goggle search I found the generator that creates QR codes with little information. All you really need to know is the URL or the simple contact information. Here's the website for the QR Generator that I use http://www.qrstuff.com/. The last and final step is getting a QR Scanner, this was easy you can download a QR Scanner on all smartphone devices. Most QR scanner apps also double as bar code scanners. So it would be something that I would consider downloading the next time you’re on your smartphone devices. Hopefully this helps, and just to tie in all in I'll upload a picture of code I just made for the back of my business card. Happy QR-ing
