As a graphic designer nothing upsets me more than when things don’t go
as plan, especially when it comes to design. As you know at this point this
blog is about graphic design, the fine arts and everything in-between {if you didn’t
know that then sorry, hopefully I’ll be able to make that clear in the next
couple of weeks}. Anyway back to my point as far as design goes for this blog
thus far I am anything less than happy about how this is looking. Sorry if you’re
reading this and you don’t care but as a design student I have created a brand
for myself, that includes a color scheme of teal {C-77, M-7, Y-51, and K-0} and
olive green {C-49.38, M-32.03, Y-89.28, and K-9.5}. A type scheme that include
Caviar Dreams and Gotham Light. My main problem with this blog is that I can’t
use any of these color or typefaces; it can’t follow the branding I have worked
so hard to maintain. Now I know that reading this you’re probably think who
cares, why does it matter, and most importantly why is this random girl
complain to me I can’t do anything to help her. I’m hoping as this blog goes on
I’ll be able to get a better hand on how to just handle the fact that
everything I do can’t be perfect, or at least figure out how to fix it.
